Insect and Disease Management

Anticipating common insects and pathogens and proactively preventing them is one of the best ways to manage pests in your garden. In this session, we’ll discuss preventive management strategies for common garden insects and pathogens.

Natalie is a statewide extension educator for vegetable crops and local foods. She works with vegetable growers across Minnesota ranging from community gardeners to large commercial farmers. She supports growers with all aspects of production ranging from IPM to soil health through direct assistance, applied research, and various communication channels. Those channels include the UMN fruit and vegetable blog, in-person workshops and field days, social media, and the What’s Killing my Kale podcast. She has a M.S. in Agronomy from the University of Copenhagen.
