If you love goats this is the coffee table goat book for you.
This book is a fun, breezy read with loads of great goat pictures. I especially enjoyed the images of vintage goat photos, drawings, sculptures, and etchings. Frankly it is worth looking through the book just for the photographs.
There are short chapters on fun topics like goat history, breeds, goats in mythology, and working goats. There is also information on goat milk, cheeses and fiber. Several of the articles are written by different authors.
One thing to beware of when reading this book; some of the information about the care and feeding of goats was incorrect. I would read this book for its interesting historical references and get goat husbanding tips from another book.
This book is available at the Latah online library system.
